Daye is a native of South Georgia, having been born and raised in Camilla, where she currently lives. She is married to Kirk Woodall, who is a South Georgia high school football coach, and they have 2 children, Morgan and Cole. She enjoys working out, reading, going to the beach and traveling. She spends most of her weekends at travel ball tournaments with her children.
Daye has been a Type 1 Diabetic since she was 3 years old. She began her career as a flight attendant for Delta Airlines, where she was able to travel the world, and then enjoyed a successful career as a sales manager in Jacksonville, FL. Being diagnosed with diabetes at such an early age, she developed a strong desire for providing teaching to other people with this disease. In her 30’s she had the opportunity to make a career change and pursue her passion. She attended nursing school at Darton State College, where she obtained her bachelor’s degree in nursing and went on to pursue her Certified Diabetes Educator certification. She is passionate about diabetes, and she is happy to be able to serve the South Georgia area with much-needed education on living with diabetes. Her education focuses on all aspects of diabetes, including healthy eating, being active, taking medication, problem solving, reducing risks and healthy coping. She strives to provide her patients with the education and knowledge they need to live their best life possible.
